Rooming with friends?

Postby Aralorr » Fri Jan 22, 2010 11:00 pm

I'm heading off to uni soon, and I want to get opinions on whether or not (for first year) if I should room with my friends, or take a random partner. I'm very torn between the two options because they both have their ups and downs, does anyone have any advice they could offer or opinions to share?

I might recommend not to room with a friend. I ended up rooming with my best friend since childhood during freshman year and things did not go that well. In fact now we don't even talk that much. Living together adds a lot of stress and people change a lot during college. It might be good to room separately then you can both make more friends that you can all hang out with.

According o me, it is better to stay with atleast one friend or a room mate as you can get any kind of help from him whether it is a medical help or financial help.... You cannot do it at your own if you are not feeling well... Secondly if you both will share room then the rent would be divided between both of you and hence you can save a lot of money for you...
