Student Accommodation - Housemates

When moving into a new house or room there is nothing worse than having to share with the housemate from hell. Whether you are moving into halls for the first time or moving into a house which you will have to share they may all throw up problems.

Even if you think you know the person you are moving in with you will probably be suprised at how annoying some people can be once you actually have to live under the same roof as them and share everything. The smallest thing can quite quickly turn into a major problem. It can be anything from someone refusing to wash up anything despite everyone else in the house chipping in. (I have had personal experience of this) It can also be someone never using a hoover or jsut generally cleaning things up, it could be personal hygine that bothers you. Whatever the problem it can come out of no where and can grate on you a lot! The only problem with housemates is that you can not go view them and test them out before you move in like you can with accommodation - its just all down to luck. You either get good housemates or you don't.

If you are having problems with any of your housemates you could go to your University welfare services who should be able to help you out. If it gets really bad you may have to consider moving out or trying to get the offending person evicted. This is of course a last case senario and should be considered with care.

The only problem
